Job Responsibilities:

- Lead and develop the Legal HP&GF team to be a competent and trusted partner by promoting a professional, customer-focused and solution-oriented team culture. Coach and supervise the responsibility fulfillment and service delivery.
- Maintain good connection with business leads and Corporate Legal and work with them to identify the needs and ensure effective mode of work to address the local business needs.
- Develop and maintain a solid industrial network, and closely work with industrial associations (e.g.: RDPAC, EUCCC, German Chambers) on life science topics.
- Monitor a thorough understanding of the legal development, communicate with related government authorities to understand the most recent legal environment developments on life science industry, and advise related functions on the legal interpretation, implications and opportunities for the company's operations.
- Establish, review and revise legal-related procedures, policies and guidelines for Human Pharma and Group Function.
- Handle local legal disputes through negotiation, mediation or litigation; provide legal support on product protection and government investigation.
- Monitor and supervise external counsels.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor degree in PRC law or above, master law education is preferred.
- 12 years post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm or comparable in-house working experience in a reputable multi-national company, familiar with foreign direct investment, M&A, contract and general corporate work; experiences in life science industry are preferred.
- Good understanding of PRC law, sound business acumen and commercial awareness and practically-oriented, ability to identify and resolve legal issues effectively and independently.
- Self-motivated, hard-working, detail-minded, clear thinker, quick learner, team player, ability to work independently under pressure, and ability to lead a team.
- PRC Lawyer Qualification is a must.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (written & verbal).
- Computer literacy, familiar with all Microsoft applications.
