Claims Specialist Madrid, Spain As part of the AXA XL Iberia, you will work within the First-Party Claims Department handling Technical Claims, both local and under international programs. As Claims Specialist you will play a critical role in AXA XL's claims team, overseeing the setup, investigation, negotiation, and settlement of all assigned claims. Proactive manage, collect and analyse information until either settlement of the claim, or until a determination is made to refer the claim to the Team Leader for advice and assistance. Expect to work closely with your manager and fellow Claims colleagues to drive files to resolution and to interact and collaborate with Underwriting and Operations teams. Together, you will be tasked with achieving the best possible outcomes for AXA XL and its clients by resolving and settling claims proactively. This is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity regime. What you'll be DOING What will your essential responsibilities include? Conduct loss investigations on all assigned claims, by maintaining the accountability of this portfolio claims until settlement/closure is reached. Monitor open claims to meet service requirements of the customer on each claim ensuring that a fair and timely pay-out is achieved. Maintain an accurate record of relevant activities relating to the claim in out paperless system and ensuring that claims procedural and documentation standards are maintained. Provide accurate and timely claims status updates to internal and external customers. Build relationship with internal local and global AXA XL departments, support underwriting and sales process. Obtain proper authorization if settlement value exceeds personal or file authorization limits. Adhering to and management of expense budget. Contribute towards and foster team spirit. You will report to First Party Claims Team Lead, Spain. What you will BRING We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Some years of experience in handling Property claims and managing preventive actions (specialized knowledge to handle other LoBs claims is also a plus) Communicate and work in Spanish and English Manage complex claims coordinating the different contributors to come up with adapted solutions. Understands stakeholders needs and efficiently manage interactions with other parties involved. Explores different alternatives and influence the other parties to reach an agreement with positive outcomes for all. Cultivate relationships with brokers, court prosecutors, opposite lawyers, experts and other involved parties. Willing to grow in your professional path within an environment that fosters collaboration, customer service and colleagues' development.
