Requirements
MD/PhD or both, with a minimum of 10 experience in industry.
Deep understanding of Oncology drug development
A deep and broad understanding of the global pharmaceutical industry and of the key value creating processes within the industry, in particular designing development strategies through all stages of development and ideally US/Global commercial launch experience
Experience leading Oncology projects across discovery through to late phase development and working in a dynamic global environment ideally demonstrated by having been successfully leading GPTs as GPL
Extensive leadership experience, with excellent communication skills are required
Benefits
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $345,966 to $512,949. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Typical Accountabilities:
Leads the Solid Tumor Cell Therapy Franchise by definingthe strategic direction and priorities of the portfolioand overseeing portfolio strategy execution by the Global Product Teams (GPTs).
Line managestheGPLs withinthe solid tumor portfolio providing effective leadership and coaching to create a high performing, empowered GPTenvironmentwhile guidingand endorsing criticalGPT decisions, e.g.,Target Product Profile (TPP), investmentdecisionsand agreements with the business.
Serves assinglepoint of contact for all solid tumor cell therapy assetsfor internal and external stakeholders, for example the Therapeutic Area Clinical Development Leads, the Cell Therapy DiscoveryorganizationandCell Therapy Technical Operations.
Identifiesopportunities for the portfolio and drives decisions by coalescing diverse internal and external stakeholders' interests.
Acts as an ambassador for AZ Cell Therapy and the solid tumor cell therapy portfolio with our internal partners and external collaborators, with representatives from the scientific community and health authorities, and in any interactions with health care practitioners and patients.
