• Coordinate with other technical leads (Product, Engineering) to align on architecture decisions, integration interfaces, and development priorities.

  1. Unreal Engine: Lead the architecture and development of Volinga's 3DGS rendering plugin, ensuring deep integration with the engine's rendering pipeline.

  2. Vulkan: Define and evolve the architecture of Volinga's proprietary Vulkan-based rendering engine, balancing technical debt with forward-looking design.

• Design and oversee the integration of cutting-edge radiance field features into real-time pipelines, taking responsibility for technical feasibility and delivery.

• Review pull requests from the graphics team, enforcing quality standards, architectural consistency, and best practices across the codebase.

• Drive continuous improvement in performance, architecture, and integration, identifying technical risks early and proposing mitigation strategies.

  1. Unreal Engine C++ development (Blueprints, Niagara, Post-processing, Custom Shaders).

  2. Vulkan graphics programming (experience in other APIs like OpenGL, DirectX is a plus).

• Strong understanding of shader development.

• Solid foundations in linear algebra, space transformations, and coordinate systems.

• Familiarity with graphics and performance profiling tools (e.d., Nvidia Nsightm, RenderDoc).

• Experience with Cmake.

• Experience with 3DGS is a plus

• Experience with interoperability between graphics APIs is a plus.

• Experience with CUDA ang GPGPU programming is a plus.

• Knowledge of color science and color management using OCIO is a plus.

Minimum Required Experience:

• 5 years in graphics programming, with demonstrated experience in architecture decisions and team-level technical leadership.

Personal Skills:

• Strong leadership and mentoring ability, capable of guiding and developing other engineers effectively.

• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strategic thinker, able to balance short-term deliverables with long-term architectural vision. Proactive, autonomous, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment.

The position can be based either at our offices in the NANOTEC Building in San Cristóbal de La Laguna (Tenerife) or in central Madrid.
