ACCIONA Agua is a global leader in sustainable water infrastructure, delivering innovative solutions across the full lifecycle of water projects - from design and construction to operation and long-term management.
We are currently bidding on a few major water infrastructure tenders in Australia, with a strong pipeline of future project deliveries across the SA region. As part of this growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator (Mechanical/Electrical) to play a critical role from the bid stage through to execution.

Key Responsibilities
Develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for large-scale desalination projects
Lead detailed quantity take-offs and robust cost forecasting
Manage multiple bids simultaneously, acting as the key interface with senior leadership
Coordinate estimates across mechanical, electrical, civil, and subcontracted scopes
Review and refine estimates in response to project requirements and client feedback
Participate in pre- and post-bid meetings and ensure full compliance with client and regulatory standards
Collaboration & Delivery Readiness
Partner with internal teams and key subcontractors to obtain pricing for labor, materials, and specialized equipment
Maintain and enhance historical cost databases and utilise internal estimating systems
Ensure knowledge transfer to delivery teams once projects are awarded
Leadership & Development
Mentor and support junior estimators, fostering technical excellence and consistency
Contribute to the development of estimating standards and best practices across the business
Planning & Quality Control
Develop and maintain company-wide estimating methodologies and governance
Ensure that estimating tools align with industry best practices
Collaborate closely with Quality Management to maintain high compliance and control standards
Required Skills and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
Minimum 5 years' experience in estimating for major water infrastructure projects, ideally in desalination.
Proven ability to deliver accurate cost estimates for large-scale projects (treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations).
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and cost estimation systems.
Proficiency in estimating software and MS Word, Excel, and Access.
Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
