Job Description
Current Project
The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - a new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year.
The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, a seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.
The Role
Acciona is actively building an FRP workforce of direct employees to transition across current and future projects. As a skilled formwork carpenter, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Contributing to a productive, positive site culture
Completing daily safety paperwork (SWMS, JHAs, toolbox talks where required)
Constructing formwork using timber, plywood or propriety systems (e.g., Peri, Doka, Traditional)
Stripping formwork once concrete has cured to the required strength
Applying release agents and prepare formwork for concrete pours
Reading and interpreting structural and reinforcement drawings

Australian nationally recognised trade certificate in Carpentry
Minimum 2 years experience as a formwork carpenter within a civil construction environment
