Job Description
As the CADD Supervisor within the Digital Delivery Team, you will play a key role in creating, revising, and managing construction drawings, plans, schematics, Redlining markups, and As-Built drawings using CADD software as needed, while supervising a team of CADD operators.
Your responsibilities will include incorporating field changes and redline markups into the drawings, as well as producing accurate As-Built drawings that reflect the final constructed conditions, incorporating all approved changes from the construction process.
You will prepare layout files for survey crews, maintain high-quality technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle, and work closely with the Construction Team, architects, engineers, and project managers to translate design concepts into precise technical drawings and survey data. This ensures effective guidance of the construction process, accurate record-keeping, and overall project success.
- Establish the CADD team standards and supervise, train and support CADD operators.
- Collaborate with TGP, CA and other stakeholders.
- Create detailed drawings, plans, and schematics using CADD software such as Civil3D, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar platforms.
- Interpret design specifications, sketches, and blueprints to produce accurate and precise construction drawings and digital layout files for surveyors.
- Collaborate with Construction, architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and incorporate design changes into drawings.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and project specifications in all drawings produced.
- Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to resolve design issues and optimize construction drawings for efficiency and accuracy.
- Organize and maintain drawing files, including version control and documentation of revisions.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including layouts, plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules.
- Provide support to project teams during the construction phase by reviewing drawings, responding to requests for information (RFIs), and addressing field changes as needed.
- Stay informed about advancements in CADD technology and software tools to improve productivity and efficiency.
Work Conditions:
This is an office and on-site based role.
Required Skills and Competencies
- BSc degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Preferably 5-10 years of experience in CADD, in Heavy Civil Construction
- Proficiency in CADD software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, is required.
- Experience with additional CADD and BIM platforms is an asset (MicroStation, OpenRoads, Model coordination, Clash detection...)
- Strong technical skills with the ability to create accurate and detailed drawings from design concepts and sketches.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with project teams and stakeholders
- Knowledge of As-Built Production, Team Management and Management of RFI process are an asset.

This role offers an annual base salary in the anticipated range of $100,000-$140,000 CAD, with compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
